Why Leverage Matters (and Why It Doesn't)

Maximum leverage determines the minimum margin required to open a position. At 500x, you need just 0.2% margin. At 125x, you need 0.8%. This does NOT mean you should use maximum leverage — it means you have more flexibility in position sizing.

A B VS

Professional traders typically use 5-20x on BTC regardless of the maximum available. The difference between exchanges matters most for capital efficiency: with PrimeXBT's 500x, you can open a $50,000 BTC position with just $100 in margin. With Bybit's 125x, the same position requires $400. The risk is identical if you set the same stop-loss — the difference is capital allocation.
